Therapeutic Indications:
Evening Primrose is a plant rich in elements with natural estrogenic action that can be used with good results in premenstrual syndrome and menopause.
Its Latin name is Oenothera biennis. An annual herbaceous plant, native to North America, it now grows in many temperate regions of the globe. Sub-spontaneous in various areas of the Continent.
Belonging to the Onagraceae family, the oil from its seeds is used. This consists of oil with glyceric esters of fatty acids (oleic, linoleic, ?-linolenic (GLA), palmitic, stearic), phytosterols and carotenoids.
It has the following properties:
- Reduces common discomforts in premenstrual syndrome (hot flashes, irritability, breast tenderness, etc.)
- Helps regulate cholesterol levels
- Helps regulate blood pressure
- Platelet antiaggregant
- Prevention of arteriosclerosis and thromboembolism
- Has an antioxidant effect, specifically inhibiting cholesterol oxidation
- Useful in osteoporosis and rheumatism
- Plays an important role in anti-inflammatory processes
- Beneficial action on the skin, especially when it is dry or has wounds
- Atopic eczema and neurodermatitis
Composition:
Per daily dose / 2 capsules:
Evening Primrose Oil (containing at least 10% GLA) - 2100mg;
Vitamin E - 13.4mg a-TE (111.6% NRV*).
NRV* - Nutrient Reference Value.
Ingredients:
Oenothera biennis (Evening Primrose, seed oil containing at least 10% GLA, 1st cold pressing), gelatin, humectant: glycerin, DL-alpha-tocopherol acetate.
Dosage and Administration:
Take 1 capsule after breakfast and dinner.

Warnings:
Store in a cool, dry place away from light.
If any reaction occurs, discontinue use.
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
Avoid the product in case of allergy or sensitivity to any of the ingredients.

Co-administration with other supplements, namely: magnesium, zinc, vitamin C, vitamin B6 and niacin, is advised. Association with tamoxifen appears to be beneficial.
