Artichoke
Its Latin name is Cynara scolymus L. A perennial herbaceous plant, native to North Africa. Cultivated in rich, clayey soils in the Mediterranean region, it is believed to be derived from C. cardunculus L. (cardoon), through natural selection.
Once considered a rare vegetable, it is now widely cultivated in Atlantic regions. It belongs to the Asteraceae (Composite) family, with its leaves being used. It consists of cynaropicrin, cynarin, aromatic acids, luteolin-derived flavonoids, mucilage, pectin, inulin, phytosterols, and mineral salts.
Cynarin (in addition to aromatic acids and flavonoids) is primarily responsible for the properties of Artichoke:
- Hepatoprotective action;
- Beneficial for jaundice;
- Choleretic and cholagogue action;
- Antioxidant;
- Digestive properties;
- Beneficial for overeating and excessive alcohol consumption.
Dandelion
Its Latin name is Taraxacum officinale. A perennial herbaceous plant from the northern hemisphere, acclimatized in South America, found in meadows, pastures, and wasteland. It grows in wetlands, moist areas, cultivated fields, vegetable gardens, and gardens. It belongs to the Asteraceae (Composite) family. Its roots and leaves are used.
The roots contain: bitter constituents, polyphenols (phytosterols, flavonoids, apigenin and luteolin derivatives), triterpenes, inulin, mucilage, and mineral salts. The leaves contain flavonoids, bitter constituents, and mineral salts (in greater quantity than in the root).
The roots have the following properties:
- In alterations of bile flow;
- Stimulates diuresis;
- For loss of appetite;
- For dyspepsia;
- In obesity, accompanied by fluid retention;
- In all conditions that benefit from diuresis (gout and urinary affections).

Bulking agent: microcrystalline cellulose, Taraxacum officinale (Dandelion; dry extract 4:1), Cynara scolymus L. (Artichoke; dry extract 5:1), l-ascorbic acid, anti-caking agents: magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, cyanocobalamin (0.1%), pyridoxine hydrochloride, thiamine hydrochloride.

Dosage and Administration:
