Description
For fighting allergies
Therapeutic Indications:
ALERG COMPLEX is a carefully developed formula rich in MSM, plants, minerals, and histidine (amino acid) with the aim of mitigating allergic reactions (hay fever, bronchitis, rhinitis, conjunctivitis…) and the associated symptoms (sneezing, runny nose, respiratory obstruction, itching, watery eyes, hives, migraines, diarrhoea…) and jointly balancing the immune system, stabilizing the permeability of epithelial cells (mucosa), and controlling inflammatory processes in order to treat and prevent the body from the pathological evolution of allergic hypersensitivity reactions, and thereby offer a relaxed, harmonious and self-tolerant life to all types of reactions that arise.
Calcium contributes to normal neurotransmission.
Magnesium contributes to normal protein synthesis.
Copper contributes to the maintenance of normal connective tissues.
The term "allergy" was first used in the early 20th century by the Austrian physician Clemens Freiherr von Piquet, meaning a positive or negative variation in the organic response. Allergy is defined as an acquired or induced hypersensitivity in which the immune system responds in an exaggerated way to an allergen or sometimes to a harmless substance. The causes of allergies are mostly unknown. However, they can have the following origins: - Air – can cause hay fever, rhinitis, asthma and conjunctivitis; - Contact – allergic dermatitis, hives; - Food – intolerance, atopic eczema; - Anaphylaxis – certain foods, bee sting or other insect sting, transplants, etc., which can cause a tragic outcome.
What is an allergic process?
When the body detects an allergen, an adverse immune reaction occurs in an attempt to expel it from the body. Although allergic reactions occur in response to viruses and bacteria, they usually arise in response to non-infectious external products. Allergies tend to appear in areas of the body where the immune system is activated (nasal, respiratory, gastrointestinal mucosa and skin). How does an allergic reaction work? Humans live in an environment full of substances capable of producing immunological responses. Contact with antigens induces a protective immune response, but also the possibility of harmful tissue reactions. Immune responses can arise from exogenous or endogenous antigens. When an antigen invades the body, the immune system reacts by producing IgE (antibody), generating associated symptoms. IgE remain attached to other immune defence elements (eosinophils, basophils, mast cells) that line the respiratory tract, intestines and skin. In a future exposure to the allergen, the antibodies bind to it and inform the mast cells that release histamine and other substances that cause the unwanted allergic symptoms. Histamine (chemical mediator) exerts an intense effect on the skin, mucous membranes, eyes, lungs and gastrointestinal tract, with most allergic reactions having a tropism for these organs.
Depending on the type of allergy, symptoms can range from sneezing, runny or blocked nose, ocular or dermal itching, watery eyes (hay fever), hives, migraines, diarrhoea or even a potentially fatal systemic collapse (anaphylactic shock). Dermal, watery eyes (hay fever), hives, migraines, diarrhoea or even a potentially fatal systemic collapse (anaphylactic shock).
