Its Latin name is Uncaria tomentosa. It is a climber that can reach 30 meters in height. Native to South America, it grows in forests with abundant light. The bark, leaves, and roots are used because they contain pentacyclic oxindole alkaloids (isopteropodine, pteropodine, mitraphylline, hirsutine, and others), polyhydroxylated triterpenes, indole alcohols, organic acids, flavonoids, tannins, procyanidins, and bitter constituents, among others. This supplement is usually used for rheumatic problems, gastritis, peptic ulcer, diabetes, intestinal inflammations, viral infections, asthma, and menstrual changes.
Plant traditionally used for angina, arthritis, rheumatism, Crohn's disease, cystitis, oral and genital herpes, candidiasis, lithiasis, urinary incontinence, edema, gastritis, and ulcers. In some cases of allergies and intestinal inflammations.
Composition:
Per 1 capsule:
Cat's Claw (Uncaria tormentosa) - 500mg.
Per 6 capsules:
Cat's Claw (Uncaria tormentosa) – 3000mg.
Ingredients:
Uncaria tormentosa (Cat's Claw; bark), gelatin, bulking agent: maltodextrin 19, Uncaria tomentosa (Cat's Claw; dry extract 4:1 from bark), anti-caking agents: magnesium stearate: silicon dioxide.
Dosage and Administration:
Take 2 capsules 3 times a day, after meals.
